My PMA 158 Long Course Test Experience

I prepared for PMA 158 Long Course from EduSmart Academy under the guidance of Sir Muhammad Faizan.  My overall experience was good, but some parts of the test were a little difficult, especially the intelligence and current affairs portion.

On the test day, I reached the center early. I was a little nervous in the beginning because the environment was very strict and disciplined. There were many other candidates, and everyone looked serious. After some time, I became normal and started focusing on the process.

First, our documents were checked. After document verification, we were guided toward the computer lab for the initial test. Everything was properly managed, and the staff gave clear instructions.

Intelligence Test Experience

The first part was the intelligence test. This section was fast, and that is the biggest challenge. It was not impossible, but it needed quick thinking and full concentration. If a student has not practiced before, this part can feel confusing.

There were both verbal and non verbal questions. Some were easy, but some took extra focus. I remember questions related to number series, relationships, odd one out, and figure matching.

Some questions I remember were like these:

Find the next number in the series 5, 9, 17, 33, ?
A is brother of B, B is sister of C, then what is A to C?
Find the odd one out from square, circle, triangle, cube
If yesterday was Thursday, what day will tomorrow be?
Some figure matching and pattern questions were also a little tricky

This portion was all about speed. Even if you know the answer, you must answer quickly.

Academic Test Experience

After the intelligence part, the academic test started. This section was not too hard, but proper preparation was still necessary. Students who revise basic concepts can attempt it easily.

The questions came from English, Math, General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Islamiat, and current affairs.

English Questions

The English part was basic, but students needed grammar and vocabulary practice. Some questions were from spelling, synonyms, antonyms, and sentence correction.

Some examples I remember are:

Choose the correct spelling of accommodation
Synonym of reluctant
Antonym of scarce
Choose the correct sentence
Fill in the blank with the correct word

Math Questions

The Math portion included simple calculations, but some questions needed careful thinking. A student with clear concepts of percentage, ratio, and algebra can do well.

Some questions were like:

What is 15 percent of 240?
If the ratio of two numbers is 3 to 5 and their sum is 40, find the numbers
Solve 2x + 5 = 15 & Also Some Integration Question like one or 2

General Knowledge and Pakistan Studies Questions

This section included basic national knowledge and common facts about Pakistan.

Some questions I remember were:
When did Pakistan conduct its first nuclear test?
How many Districts are there in Pakistan?

Islamiat Questions

The Islamiat portion was also basic, but students should revise important facts properly.

Some questions were:

In which cave was the first Wahi revealed?
What is the meaning of Tauheed?

Current Affairs Questions

In my opinion, the current affairs part was a little more difficult than the other sections. Some questions were from recent national and international topics. Students who only prepare old material may find this part difficult.

I remember questions like:

Who is the current Secretary General of the United Nations?
Questions related to IMF and Pakistan
Questions related to Pakistan and China relations

This section showed that current affairs preparation is also important for PMA candidates.

Overall, the test was manageable, but it was not too easy. A student who practices intelligence daily, revises basic academic subjects, and stays updated with current affairs can perform well.

The biggest things I learned from this experience were:

Speed matters a lot
Confidence is very important
Current affairs should not be ignored
Practice makes the real test easier

How EduSmart Helped Me

I personally felt that my preparation from EduSmart Academy helped me a lot. Sir Muhammad Faizan explained every part in a simple and clear way. Because of that, many question types felt familiar in the real test.

The practice sessions, guidance, and preparation method made me more confident. This helped me stay calm during the actual paper.

My honest advice to all future candidates is simple. Do not panic. Prepare with consistency. Practice intelligence questions daily. Revise English, Math, GK, Pakistan Studies, and Islamiat. Also, do not ignore current affairs because that part can make a difference.

Go to the center with confidence, stay focused, and manage your time well.

My PMA 158 Long Course initial test experience was good and useful. It was a little stressful in the beginning, but with proper preparation, it became manageable. I am thankful to EduSmart Academy and Sir Muhammad Faizan for their guidance and support.

Experience#2

My name is Muhammad Usman and I appeared in PMA 158 Long Course initial test at AS&RC Karachi on 20 April 2026. Before my test, I prepared from EduSmart Academy. I want to share my experience honestly so that other students can get a real idea.

First, our documents were checked. After that, we were taken to the lab for the computer test. Once I sat down, I started feeling a little better.

The first part was intelligence. In my opinion, verbal was better for me because many things felt familiar from Sir’s notes. That gave me confidence. Non verbal was not too hard. Most of the figure questions were easy to understand, but still speed was very important. If you waste time on one question, then pressure starts building.

In verbal, I saw common types like analogy, series, odd one out, relation, and simple logic. Some were easy, but a few needed quick thinking. Non verbal was comparatively easier, but you still need practice because the time is short.

Then the academic part started. This part was mixed. Some questions were simple and some were unexpected. A few questions really made me think because they were not the usual easy type.

I remember one question about Sindhi first poetry name. One question was about price, like if 5 apples cost 75 then solve the next part. There was also a question related to Pakistan’s most important cotton. These questions were a little different, so I feel students should not prepare only from one side.

Some other questions I remember:

If 5 apples cost 75 rupees, what will be the cost of 8 apples

Who is known as the founder of modern chemistry

Which pass connects Pakistan with Afghanistan

What is the meaning of Tauheed

Who was the first Governor General of Pakistan

Which river is called the sorrow of Bengal

A train travels 60 kilometers in 1 hour 30 minutes. What is its speed per hour

If the ratio of boys and girls in a class is 3 to 2 and total students are 25, how many boys are there

Which country has the largest Muslim population

Who wrote the national anthem of Pakistan

A few questions felt a little difficult for me, especially because they needed both knowledge and calm thinking. Some of the tougher type questions were like these:

If the price of an item increases by 20 percent and then decreases by 20 percent, is the final price the same or different

If yesterday was two days before Monday, what day is today

Which important event is linked with 28 May in Pakistan

Which organization gives financial support programs to countries like Pakistan

What is the capital of Kazakhstan

These were not impossible, but in the test environment even a simple question can feel hard if you get nervous.

My honest opinion is that the paper was manageable, but not something you should take lightly. If your preparation is weak, then current affairs, GK, and tricky math can create confusion. For me, verbal intelligence was easier because of practice. Non verbal was also okay. Academic part had a few surprising questions, so I think broad preparation helps a lot.

One more thing I want to say is that confidence matters a lot. In the beginning I was nervous, but once the test started, I tried to stay calm and keep moving. That helped me. If someone gets stuck on one question again and again, then time gets wasted.

Practice intelligence daily, especially verbal. Do not ignore non verbal. Revise Pakistan studies, Islamiat, basic math, and current affairs. Also prepare mixed factual questions because sometimes paper includes things that are not very common.

Overall, my experience was good. The test was not too easy and not too hard. It was balanced, but preparation was definitely needed. I am thankful to EduSmart Academy and Sir Muhammad Faizan because the preparation and notes helped me a lot, especially in the intelligence portion.

ASRC Peshawar Test Experience

By Ahmad Khan | 20 April 2026

Aaj maine ASRC Peshawar ka test diya, aur honestly experience kaafi smooth raha. Socha yahan share kar doon taake jo log prepare kar rahe hain unko idea ho jaye.

Documents ka scene (Important)

Sab se important cheez: documents complete hone chahiye.

  • Matric certificate + DMC (attested)
  • FSC certificate + DMC (attested)
  • Domicile

Yeh sab pehle se ready rakho. Wahan ja kar issue ho jata hai agar koi document missing ho.

Maine preparation EduSmart Academy se ki thi, jisse pattern samajh aa gaya tha.

Verbal section

Yeh part thoda tricky lagta hai pehle, lekin agar thodi practice ho to easily attempt ho jata hai.

Non-verbal section

Yeh sab se easy part tha. Simple pattern-based questions thay, zyada sochne ki zarurat nahi pari.

Academic section

Academic part bhi easy tha. Mostly basic general knowledge aur simple questions thay.

Kuch questions jo mujhe yaad hain:

  • Pakistan ka official cricket league konsa hai?
  • Islamic months kitne hain?
  • 31 days wale months kitne hote hain?
  • Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A) ki beti ka naam kya hai?
  • Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) ke kitne bete thay?
  • Madina Munawwara ka purana naam kya tha?
  • Rising sun kis mulk ka symbol hai?
  • Pakistan ka national animal konsa hai?
  • Solar system ka sab se bara planet konsa hai?
  • Water ka empirical formula kya hai?

Physical test

Physical bhi Alhamdulillah clear ho gaya. Agar basic fitness hai to koi issue nahi hota.

Overall test mushkil nahi hai. Log zyada tension le lete hain, lekin agar thodi si preparation ho aur confidence ho to easily ho jata hai.

Muhammad Huzaifa
PMA Long Course 158 – Initial Test Experience

Alhamdulillah, I cleared my PMA initial test and wanted to share a short experience so it can help others who are going for the test.

To be honest, the paper was not hard overall. A person who has done normal preparation can attempt it easily. The only thing needed is focus and a calm mind. And all my Fellows who practiced through etesting website of EduSmart Easily can manage time. And also thanku sir for your time for us in these days, Maximum paper is from special verbal and non verbal lectures.

Verbal Portion:
This section was the most challenging for me. A lot of questions were based on relationships like older, younger, brother, sister, uncle, and similar comparisons. Number sequences also came in good quantity, and that part needs proper practice because it can confuse you during the test. Most of the verbal part was according to the common pattern, so anyone who has practiced well can handle it.

Non-Verbal Portion:
This section was quite easy. The exact figures were not the same as preparation material, but the logic and style were similar. If someone understands the pattern of shapes, missing figures, and sequences, then this part is simple.

Academic Portion:
The academic part was easy and mostly based on basic concepts.
There were several synonym questions, and they were a little difficult.
Very little came from active passive or direct indirect.
Questions from general knowledge were more than current affairs.
Math was simple and based on everyday basic calculations.

Some questions I remember, and some similar ones students should prepare, are:

  • Plane faces of a prism
  • Rooh Ullah is the title of whom?
  • Asad Ullah is the title of whom?
  • 2 + 2 ÷ 2
  • 90% of 90
  • 75% of 200
  • How many months have 31 days?
  • What is the national animal of Pakistan?
  • Quaid-e-Azam full name
  • SAARC stands for what?
  • Currency of Saudi Arabia
  • First constitution of Pakistan was enforced in which year?
  • Triangle with all equal sides is called what?
  • How many pillars of Islam are there?
  • Basic questions related to wars and current affairs

My overall experience was good. The test is not as difficult as many people think. The main thing is to prepare smartly and not get nervous. Give special attention to verbal relations, number series, non-verbal patterns, synonyms, basic math, Islamiyat, and general knowledge.

With good preparation and confidence, it can be cleared easily, InshaAllah.

Status: Pass

Sir, Alhamdulillah I have passed my initial test. I am sharing my experience so that it may help other students.

Overall paper was manageable. Intelligence portion was not hard, but it really depends on practice. If someone has done enough practice of verbal and non-verbal, then it becomes easy. Otherwise time pressure creates confusion.

Verbal:
Sir verbal portion was not too easy and not too difficult. Some questions were simple, but some needed full concentration. Number series, relation-based questions, odd one out, and analogy were asked. A few questions were confusing because options were very close.

Non-Verbal:
Non-verbal was easy overall. Figures were not exactly same, but pattern was familiar. Anyone who has practiced regularly can solve it without much problem.

Academic:
Sir academic portion was a mix of easy and tricky questions. General knowledge and Islamiyat were more. Current affairs were also there but not very much. Some questions were direct and some were a little difficult.

These types of questions came:

  • What is the deepest point in the world?
  • Which is the smallest country in the world?
  • Where is the headquarters of NATO?
  • The Tashkent Agreement was signed on which date?
  • If radius of a circle is doubled, what happens to the area?
  • Which pass connects Pakistan with Afghanistan?
  • Who was the first Muslim commander to conquer Sindh?
  • What is the duration of one term of a Senator in Pakistan?
  • What is the highest mountain in the Himalayan range?
  • What is the capital of Kazakhstan?
  • Which treaty ended World War One?
  • In which layer of atmosphere is the ozone layer found?
  • Which battle is famous for the trench in Islamic history?
  • Which article of the 1973 Constitution is about Objectives Resolution?
  • Who was the first Chief Justice of Pakistan?
  • What is the boiling point of water in Celsius?
  • Which scientist is famous for optics in Muslim history?
  • Longest river in the world
  • 75 percent of 200
  • How many permanent members of the UN Security Council have veto power?
  • Which Surah of the Holy Quran contains two Bismillah?
  • K2 is located in which mountain range?

Sir some questions were easy, but some were a little difficult and needed proper preparation. Academic was not just simple basic GK. A student should prepare Pakistan affairs, Islamiyat, science, geography, math, and international organizations.

Overall, the test was clearable. Main thing is practice and confidence. Intelligence can be done easily if practiced daily, and academic can also be covered if a student revises important topics properly.

At the end, I would say EduSmart Academy helped a lot in preparation because it gave proper direction about the pattern and important topics.
