AFNS Initial Test Experience-2 – Intelligence & Academic Test

I appeared in the AFNS initial test and cleared it. The overall paper was easy because most MCQs were familiar from preparation. Intelligence had many series and direction questions, and the academic portion was a mix of biology, chemistry, physics, and English grammar. Time management mattered, but the questions were straightforward.

Intelligence Test Experience

The intelligence section was mostly pattern-based and quick-thinking.

Topics that appeared:

• Series questions (many)
• Right/left turn direction questions (including consecutive left turns)
• Percentages and basic math (example: 90% of 90)
• Word/odd one out type questions
• A few logic/analogy questions

Examples from the paper:

• 90% of 90
• Passenger questions based on percentage and counts (including males/females)
• Odd one out: wrist / white / write / wrestle
• Odd one out: ape / panda / chimpanzee / baboon
• Analogy style: Bat cannot see as snake cannot

Overall, intelligence was easy if you stay calm and do not overthink.

Biology and Medical Basics

Repeated and concept-based questions came from the human body and basic science.

Chemistry was mostly basic facts and concepts.

Physics

Physics was mostly conceptual and simple.

• Tesla (as a unit-related MCQ)

English

English was easy and mostly grammar, prepositions, and basic reasoning.

Overall Review

The paper felt easy and manageable. Many MCQs were repeated concepts, especially in biology and basic science. Intelligence had a lot of series and direction questions, but they were not difficult if you focus on speed and accuracy.
