What is AFNS

AFNS stands for Armed Forces Nursing Service. It is a program through which female candidates join Pak Army as nurses. Selected candidates serve in Pakistan Army hospitals and medical institutions. After successful training, they serve in military medical services as part of a respected professional career path.

AFNS Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates should make sure they meet the basic AFNS eligibility conditions.

• Nationality: Pakistani / AJK / Gilgit Baltistan

AFNS Selection Procedure

The AFNS selection process follows several stages. Students should understand each step early so they can prepare properly.

AFNS Test Pattern

The AFNS test consists of three main parts. Students should prepare all three areas seriously for better overall performance.

Verbal Intelligence Test

Verbal Intelligence contains 84 MCQs with 30 minutes. This section checks logical thinking ability and requires quick reasoning.

Non-Verbal Intelligence Test

Non-Verbal Intelligence contains 64 MCQs with 30 minutes. This section checks visual reasoning ability and pattern recognition.

Academic Test

The academic test includes 50 MCQs with 30 minutes. Questions are usually from the FSc Pre-Medical syllabus.

Personality Test

The personality test contains 150 English Personality MCQs and 50 Urdu Personality MCQs, making a total of 200 MCQs in 30 minutes. These questions evaluate personality and behaviour.

Initial Medical Test, Interview Stage & Training After Selection

The medical examination includes height and weight check, eyesight test, blood pressure, and general physical fitness. Candidates must meet Pakistan Army medical standards.

The interview evaluates confidence, communication skills, personality, knowledge about AFNS, and motivation to join Pakistan Army.

After final selection, candidates receive professional nursing training in military medical institutions and then serve in Pakistan Army hospitals.
