AFNS TEST EXPERIENCE – 27 AUGUST 2026

Assalam o Alaikum everyone. Today, 27-08-2026, I appeared in my AFNS test. Unfortunately, I could not pass the test, but I am sharing my experience and the questions I remember so that upcoming candidates can benefit from it.

Honestly, the Verbal and Non-Verbal Intelligence portions were easy. The main thing was speed and understanding the pattern quickly. Verbal had a lot of series, logic, alphabet, day/date, distance-time and general reasoning questions.

Some questions I remember were:

  • Bat can’t see and snake can’t _____?
  • A plane prism has how many sides?
  • If the letters of “MANAGEMENT” are arranged alphabetically, which letter will come 3rd?
  • Which letter comes immediately after M?
  • Complete the series: A2, C4, E6, ___
  • What does a photodiode convert?
  • If the 25th day of a month is Sunday, what day will the 2nd day of that month be?
  • If yesterday was Monday, what day will be the day after tomorrow?
  • A man walks 20 km in 1 hour 40 minutes. How much time will he take to walk 1 km?
  • A helicopter requires 50 gallons for 320 km. How many gallons will it approximately require for 700 km?

There were also questions from number/alphabet series, analogies, odd one out, coding-decoding and basic mathematical reasoning.

Non-Verbal Intelligence

Non-verbal was also manageable. Questions mostly involved:

  • Figure series
  • Missing figures
  • Rotation
  • Clockwise/anticlockwise movement
  • Shading changes
  • Odd figure
  • Figure matrices

A few figures were confusing, but overall this portion was much easier than academics.

Academic Portion

For me, academics were the difficult part. The questions were more conceptual and some options were very close, so simple memorization was not enough.

Physics-related concepts such as photodiode, capacitance, electricity and basic formulas appeared. Biology/genetics was also tested through questions like X-chromosome inheritance.

My biggest advice to candidates is: don’t focus only on intelligence preparation. Verbal and non-verbal may feel easy after practice, but academics can decide your final result.

Revise Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English properly, especially conceptual MCQs, formulas, units and FSc-level basics.

Unfortunately, I could not clear my test today, but Alhamdulillah it was still a learning experience.

Best of luck to all AFNS aspirants. Prepare well, manage your time and don’t lose confidence if one portion feels difficult.

Test Date: 27 August 2026
Status: Not Passed

May Allah give everyone success. Ameen.
