AFNS Interview Experience

Initial Test & Medical:

• Date: 28th September 2020
• Location: Lahore
• I passed the initial test and medical on the same day.
• After passing, I was asked to submit an interview form within 3 days, which I submitted to ASRC Lahore.

Interview Call:

• After 3 months, I received a call from GHQ Rawalpindi, informing me of the interview.
• Initially, they scheduled my interview for 15th January 2021. However, on the day before, I received another call informing me that my interview had been postponed and rescheduled for 28th January 2021 at 7:00 AM.

On Interview Day:

• Date: 28th January 2021
• Location: ASRC Lahore
• I reached the center at 6:30 AM, and there were 23 girls in my batch.
• The interviews started at 11:00 AM. My turn was at number 17.

My Interview Experience:

• I entered the room without knocking as they allowed me to enter.
• First, I greeted them:
  • Me: “Assalam o Alaikum”
  • Them: “Walikum Assalam, please sit here.”
• There were two officers physically present in the room: a Karnal and a female Captain. Additionally, there was a panel of 8 officers connected through a live video call from GHQ.

Interview Questions:

1. Them: “Introduce yourself, tell us about your siblings, and your father’s occupation. What are you doing these days?”
   • Me: I answered.
2. Them: “Tell us more about your father’s occupation.”
   • Me: I provided details.
3. From the live call: “Which human body system do you like?”
   • Me: “The skeletal system.”
   • She: “How many bones are there in the human body?”
   • Me: “206.”
   • She: “How many bones are present in each ear, and what are their functions?”
   • Me: “There are 3 bones in each ear; they help with hearing and maintaining body balance.”
   • She: “Why did you choose the medical field instead of engineering or other fields?”
   • Me: “I am passionate about understanding the human body systems, environmental factors, and the prognosis of diseases.”
4. They asked about the courses I had taken:
   • Me: I mentioned the courses related to COVID vaccines, how to handle them at specific temperatures, and the Zika virus.
   • Karnal Sahib (present physically) showed approval with a thumbs up.

Conclusion:

• One of the female officers said, “Thank you, Beta.”
  • Me: “Thank you, Ma’am, and Allah Hafiz.”

Results:

• After an hour, the results were announced. Out of 23 candidates, one girl was not recommended.
• Alhamdulillah, I cleared the interview and was given the final medical form.
