1. Parts of Speech
Parts of speech are the basic categories of words in English. Every word has a function in a sentence.
Main Parts of Speech

2. Important Rules
Rule 1: Noun
A noun names a person, place, thing, or idea.
Example:
Pakistan is a beautiful country.
Here, Pakistan and country are nouns.
Rule 2: Pronoun
A pronoun replaces a noun.
Example:
Ali is a student. He is intelligent.
Here, He is a pronoun.
Rule 3: Verb
A verb shows action or condition.
Example:
She writes a letter.
They are happy.
Rule 4: Adjective
An adjective describes a noun.
Example:
He is a brave boy.
Here, brave describes boy.
Rule 5: Adverb
An adverb describes how, when, or where an action happens.
Example:
He runs quickly.
Here, quickly describes runs.
3. Correct Form of Verb
Correct form of verb means using the verb according to subject, tense, and sentence structure.
Basic Verb Rules
Rule 1: Singular subject takes singular verb
He goes to school.
She plays cricket.
Ali writes neatly.
Rule 2: Plural subject takes plural verb
They go to school.
We play cricket.
Students write neatly.
Rule 3: With “does/did”, use first form of verb
He does not go.
She did not come.
Did you see him?
Wrong: He did not went.
Correct: He did not go.
Rule 4: Present perfect uses has/have + third form
He has eaten food.
They have completed work.
Rule 5: Past perfect uses had + third form
He had gone before I arrived.
Rule 6: Continuous tense uses ing form
He is reading.
