My AFNS Initial Test Experience — Hyderabad Centre
Assalam o Alaikum everyone,
Alhamdulillah, 27th August ko mera AFNS Initial Test Hyderabad Centre mein tha aur Allah ke karam se maine apna initial test clear kar liya.
Main apna experience specially un girls ke liye share kar rahi hun jo test se pehle yeh soch soch kar nervous hoti rehti hain ke pata nahi paper kaisa hoga, intelligence kis level ki hogi aur academic mein kya aa jayega.
Meri preparation ka major part EduSmart Rapid Course se hua tha. Rapid Course join karne ki meri main reason yeh thi ke test mein time kam reh gaya tha aur mujhe ek aisi preparation chahiye thi jahan mujhe samajh aa jaye ke kis cheez ko priority deni hai aur kis cheez par unnecessary time waste nahi karna.
Rapid Course ke lectures, practice aur especially Sir Faizan ki Grand Test Series mere test ke din sab se zyada kaam ayi.
Sach bataun to test start hone ke baad aik point par mujhe aesa lag hi nahi raha tha ke main Army ka koi unfamiliar test attempt kar rahi hun. Aesa hi feel ho raha tha jaise ghar par Sir Faizan ka Grand Test de rahi hun. Screen different thi, environment different tha, pressure obviously zyada tha, lekin question solving ka flow aur timer handle karne ki aadat bilkul familiar thi.
Aur mere liye yahi Grand Test Series ka sab se bara benefit tha.
Centre pohanchne ke baad pehle documents ka process hua. Waiting mein maine books khol kar last-minute ratta lagane ke bajaye sirf woh cheezen mind mein recall ki jo Rapid Course mein baar baar practice ki thi: alphabet positions, direction rules, percentage shortcuts, series patterns aur kuch important academic facts.
Jab computer ke samne baithi to naturally thori nervousness hui. Lekin maine khud ko yahi kaha ke test ko “final test” samajh kar pressure nahi lena, isay bhi Grand Test ki tarah attempt karna hai.
Bismillah parh kar start kiya.
Verbal Intelligence
Verbal shuru hote hi mujhe sab se pehle yeh realization hui ke practice ka real faida questions yaad hone se zyada pattern pehchanne mein hota hai.
Series, analogy, coding, common sense, odd-one-out, direction aur relationship type questions thay. EduSmart ke verbal material mein bhi yehi major categories extensively practiced hain.
Kuch questions direct thay aur kuch mein wording thori confusing thi.
Mujhe is type ki analogy mili:
Cold is to Ice as Hot is to ____
Answer: Steam
Ek odd-one-out isi type ka tha:
America, Africa, Asia, Euro
Answer: Euro
Coding ka pattern bhi aya. For example practice mein humne is tarah ke questions kiye thay:
If ACE is coded as GIK, how is MOQ coded?
Answer: SUW
Test mein exact words necessarily same nahi thay, lekin pattern dekh kar method immediately samajh aa raha tha.
Common-sense questions bhi aaye. Woh apparently bohat easy lagte hain, lekin timer ke pressure mein insaan simple statement bhi overthink kar deta hai. Rapid Course mein Sir Faizan repeatedly kehte thay ke har intelligence MCQ ko complicated banana zaroori nahi hota.
Mera verbal ka main rule tha:
Question parho, pattern identify karo, answer mark karo aur move on.
Pehle practice mein meri problem yeh thi ke kisi ek confusing MCQ par 30–40 seconds laga deti thi. Grand Tests dete dete mujhe samajh aya ke agar aik question par atak gaye to end ke 8–10 easy questions sacrifice ho sakte hain.
Test ke din wohi habit bachane wali thi.
Verbal complete hua aur jab pass show hua to mera confidence immediately improve hogya.
Non-Verbal Intelligence
Non-verbal mein figures obviously same nahi hoti jo aap preparation mein dekhte ho. Is liye yahan “MCQs yaad karne” se zyada trick samajhna important hai.
Mere test mein figure series, analogy, missing figure, matrix aur odd-one-out type patterns thay.
Main har figure ko poora ghour se dekhne ke bajaye pehle sirf change identify karti thi:
shape rotate ho rahi hai?
lines increase ho rahi hain?
dot position shift ho rahi hai?
shading alternate ho rahi hai?
ya koi element remove/add ho raha hai?
Grand Test Series ki wajah se mujhe timer ka bohat acha andaza ho chuka tha. Practice ke start mein non-verbal mein main figure ko unnecessarily analyze karti rehti thi. Tests repeat karne ke baad aankh khud pattern search karna shuru kar deti hai.
Isi liye actual test mein mujhe environment new zaroor laga, test ka pressure new nahi laga.
Alhamdulillah non-verbal bhi clear hogya.
Ab asli tension academic ki thi.
Academic Portion
Academic start karne se pehle mujhe laga ke ab shayad bohat tough numericals aur out-of-course concepts samne aayenge.
Lekin meri observation yeh thi ke paper ka level mixed tha.
Kuch questions bilkul fundamental concepts se thay aur kuch aise thay jahan do options bohat close lag rahe thay. Isi liye sirf definitions ratna enough nahi hai.
Biology ka weight mujhe noticeable laga, aur physiology, cell biology, biomolecules, enzymes aur nervous-system side ke concepts revise karna useful raha.
For example questions/practice concepts is level ke thay:
ATP synthase mitochondria ke kis part mein present hota hai?
Answer: Inner membrane
Competitive inhibitor enzyme ke kis part se bind karta hai?
Answer: Active site
GABA kis type ka neurotransmitter hai?
Answer: Inhibitory neurotransmitter
Medulla oblongata primarily kis functions ko regulate karti hai?
Answer: Breathing and heartbeat
Sickle-cell anemia kis wajah se hoti hai?
Answer: Mutation in the hemoglobin gene
A protein containing 574 amino acids mein peptide bonds kitne honge?
Answer: 573
Ye woh type ke questions hain jahan agar concept clear ho to answer ek second mein aa jata hai, lekin concept weak ho to options dekh kar confusion shuru hojati hai.
Kuch aur areas bhi important lage:
Human blood mein plasma approximately kitna hota hai?
Answer: 55%
Uric acid accumulation kis condition ka cause banti hai?
Answer: Gout
Rapid Course mein one-liners revise karne ka mujhe yahan faida hua, kyunke academic test mein har question ko long explanation ke through solve karne ka time nahi hota.
Mere liye Academic ki best strategy thi ke pehle woh answer mark karun jahan mujhe concept 100% clear hai. Jis question mein doubt ho usko unnecessary overthink na karun.
Jab Academic ka result clear aya to us waqt finally laga ke haan, ab main relax kar sakti hun.
Personality Test
Personality section ke liye bhi EduSmart ki practice useful rahi. Notes mein English aur Urdu personality-test practice ke saath 150 English practice statements bhi included hain, aur response scale Strongly Agree se Strongly Disagree tak diya gaya hai.
Actual personality test ke liye meri advice yehi hai ke statements ko overthink na karein.
For example practice statements ka nature kuch aesa hota hai:
“I remain calm in stressful situations.”
“I take responsibility for my mistakes.”
“I continue trying even when a task becomes difficult.”
“I make decisions with confidence.”
Yani basically same personality trait ko different wording mein check kiya ja sakta hai.
Is liye answer artificially perfect banane ke chakkar mein consistency disturb nahi karni chahiye.
mujhe pata tha question par kitna time dena hai,
mujhe panic hone par bhi next question par move karna aata tha,
mujhe screen par continuously questions solve karne ki aadat thi,
aur sab se important, timer dekh kar meri speed disturb nahi ho rahi thi.
Is liye Hyderabad Centre mein actual AFNS test dete waqt dil mein genuinely yeh thought aya:
“Yeh to bilkul Sir Faizan ka Grand Test lag raha hai.”
Aesa nahi lag raha tha ke suddenly koi completely new Army test mere samne rakh diya gaya hai.
Isi familiarity ne meri anxiety aadhi kar di.
Sirf “most repeated MCQs” ke peeche mat bhagein.
Intelligence ke patterns seekhein.
Academic ke basic concepts strong karein.
Physics ke formulas aur basic numericals ko ignore mat karein.
Biology ke one-liners ke saath concept bhi samjhein.
Chemistry mein basic reactions, periodic concepts, bonding aur important facts revise karein.
Aur sab se important: timed Grand Tests zaroor dein.
Aap 500 MCQs prepare kar sakte hain, lekin agar 30 seconds ke pressure mein decision nahi le sakte to actual test mein preparation ka full benefit nahi milega.
Main personally EduSmart Rapid Course aur Sir Faizan ki Grand Test Series ko apni preparation ka turning point kahungi. Rapid Course ne limited time mein preparation ko direction di aur Grand Tests ne test-day wali speed aur confidence develop kiya.
Alhamdulillah, Hyderabad Centre se mera AFNS Initial Test clear hogya.
Allah par bharosa rakhein, apni preparation honestly karein aur test wale din apne nerves ko control karein. InshaAllah mehnat ka result zaroor milega.
Thank you Sir Faizan and EduSmart team for the Rapid Course, constant practice, guidance and especially the Grand Test Series.
