AFNS test at Faisalabad Center on 4 September

September 6, 2026

Name: Shahida
Date: 4 September 2026
Center: Faisalabad
Status: Pass, Alhamdulillah
Preparation: EduSmart Rapid Course — Batch 2

Assalamualaikum,

Alhamdulillah, I appeared in my AFNS test at Faisalabad Center on 4 September and successfully cleared it. I was preparing through EduSmart Rapid Course Batch 2, and I want to share my experience for the girls whose tests are coming soon.

My biggest advice is not to overload yourself on the last day. I mainly revised the One-Liner PDFs, AEE File and selected notes from Sir Faizan’s Special Lectures. I had also attempted some tests from the Grand Test Series, which helped a lot with speed and time management.

The center environment was disciplined and the staff was cooperative. Documents were checked before the test, so make sure your original documents are complete and properly arranged.

Verbal Intelligence

My Verbal portion was mostly manageable. A good number of questions were familiar in pattern, especially because we had practiced similar types in the Special Verbal Lectures.

One question was based on:

Which number is added to 12 so that the result becomes one-third of 36 less than 30?

Another question involved the numbers:

9, 3, 2, 7

You had to multiply the smallest and largest number and then use that result with the sum of all given numbers.

Other questions were from areas like:

  • Number series
  • Alphabet series
  • Age-based reasoning
  • Odd one out
  • Basic arithmetic
  • Analogy
  • Direction sense

I also remember one question where a simple number pattern was given and we had to identify the next term.

Another question was based on a family relation statement where we had to identify how two people were related.

These questions were not very difficult, but speed mattered a lot.

The Grand Test Series was useful because it trained me not to spend too much time on one MCQ.

Non-Verbal Intelligence

Non-Verbal was slightly more challenging for me than Verbal.

There were questions on:

  • Rotation of figures
  • Missing figure
  • Odd figure
  • Shape sequence
  • Shading pattern
  • Direction change

One question had a square figure rotating step by step, and we had to identify the next position.

Another involved small shapes increasing in number while their shaded position was also changing.

Some figures looked confusing at first, but once I focused on one feature at a time, they became easier.

The Non-Verbal Special Lectures by Sir Faizan helped because the method of checking rotation, position and number of objects was already familiar.

Academic Test

Academic had a strong English portion, followed by Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

The questions were not impossible, but many options were quite close.

English

English included grammar, prepositions, clauses, conditional sentences and sentence structure.

One question was:

Sir gives me a pen.

“Me” was asked as:

Indirect Object

Another question was related to Zero Conditional:

If we heat iron, it turns red.

A question on “Till” as a part of speech was also included.

There were also questions on:

  • Prepositions
  • Tenses
  • Subject and object
  • Synonyms
  • Antonyms
  • Parts of speech
  • Sentence correction

One new-type question I remember was about identifying the adjective in a sentence.

Another asked which sentence was grammatically correct among four very similar options.

The English part of the Academic Special Lecture and One-Liner PDFs was useful for quick revision.

Physics

Physics was comparatively shorter.

One question was:

Which particle travels with the speed of light?

Answer: Photon

Another numerical involved calculating the time taken by light to cover a given distance.

A pendulum question was also asked:

If a lift moves upward with constant velocity, what happens to the time period of a pendulum?

Correct concept: It remains constant.

There were also questions from:

  • Units and measurements
  • Current and voltage
  • Waves
  • Energy
  • Basic mechanics

One additional question was about identifying the SI unit of electric power.

Another conceptual MCQ asked what happens to kinetic energy when velocity is doubled.

Biology

Biology included plant kingdom, human physiology and basic cell biology.

One question was:

Which group is called the amphibians of the plant kingdom?

Answer: Bryophytes

Another asked:

What is the locomotory organ of Paramecium?

Answer: Cilia

There was also a question about the conductive system of the heart.

Other areas included:

  • DNA and RNA
  • Heart
  • Human body
  • Plant reproduction
  • Cell organelles

One additional question was about the organelle responsible for ATP production.

Another asked about the basic functional unit of the kidney.

The AEE File was helpful here because many concepts were already revised in MCQ form.

Chemistry

Chemistry was quite conceptual.

One question asked:

Which compound is easily oxidized by K₂Cr₂O₇?

Answer: Aldehydes

Another question was about reactions having high activation energy.

Correct concept: such reactions are generally slower.

A periodic table question asked which element had the highest first ionization energy among the given options.

There were also questions from:

  • Organic chemistry
  • Periodic trends
  • Oxidation and reduction
  • Chemical bonding
  • Reaction rates

One extra question asked about the strongest intermolecular force in water.

Another was related to identifying the functional group present in carboxylic acids.

Organic Chemistry should not be ignored because even direct formula-based questions can appear.

Personality Test

Personality was comparatively relaxed in terms of time.

Questions were related to:

  • Confidence
  • Teamwork
  • Family
  • Responsibility
  • Leadership
  • Decision-making
  • Emotional control
  • Daily routine

Some statements repeated in different wording.

The main thing is to remain consistent.

Sir Faizan had already explained in the Personality Lecture that if similar statements appear repeatedly, your responses should not contradict each other.

Do not try to create a fake personality. Answer naturally and positively.

Medical

After clearing the test, basic medical assessment was conducted.

It included routine checks such as:

  • Height
  • Weight
  • Eyesight
  • General physical examination
  • Posture and arms

The medical process was simple and properly guided.

My Advice

Do not rely only on repeated MCQs.

For Verbal and Non-Verbal, practice with a timer.

For Academic, revise concepts instead of only memorizing answers.

For last-day preparation, short revision resources such as the One-Liner PDFs and AEE File are more useful than opening full books again.

The Grand Test Series also helped me understand how to attempt questions under time pressure.

Special thanks to Sir Faizan and EduSmart. Being part of Rapid Course Batch 2 helped me organize my preparation in the last days and focus on the important areas.

Alhamdulillah, my test was cleared successfully.

Best wishes to all upcoming AFNS candidates.
